Maja Williams is a textile designer, painter, and writer from Pittsburgh, PA. As of now, she studies toward graduating with a Textile Design and Literary Studies BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design by 2028. With a background primarily based in painting, she evolves to a materialization of her strokes. She is currently consumed by the manipulation and computation of fiber structure, the compilation of dye chemistry, and the intertwinement of history in design, all informed by her understanding of drawing and writing as a lifelong tool. Interacting with objects of rust and regrowth throughout her surroundings specifically ignite the drive around a conceptual saturation of time.
